Though Cinema of Transcendence opens on March 5 with Douglas Fairbanks in The Gaucho, those who arrive early at 6:30 PM will be treated first to a short film called The Light of Faith (1922). This is a “three-reel” version of a film that was originally called The Light in the Dark. It was directed by Clarence Brown and starred Hope Hampton, E.K. Lincoln, and Lon Chaney. Lon Chaney would follow The Light in the Dark with another film dealing with the Christian faith: Shadows (1922).
We have included here The Light of Faith as well as some documentary material on the Grail legend.
